If you enjoy a beverage from time to time, keep your cash at home if you are going to do your drinking in a casino. I am serious. Leave your handbag, your money belt, and leave all money, credit cards and checks back at the hotel. Grab whatever money you expect to spend on beverages, tipping and only the pocket change you anticipate to burn and leave the rest behind.
Cynical? Absolutely not. Just realistic. You could have a win after a drunken evening out with your friends and be blessed sufficiently to hit a 25 minute toss at a smokin craps table. Hang on to that story seeing that it’s as short-lived as it gets if you continuously drink alcohol and wager. These activities simply do not mix.
Keeping your moola out of the casino is a bit drastic, but defensive measures for drastic behavior is essential. If you gamble to win, then do not drink and play. If you are able to afford to burn your assets nary a concern, then consume all the gratuitous beer you are able to handle, but do not pack plastic credit and checkbooks to toss into the mix of following squanderings after your befuddled head throws away all the cash!
